Back to Pets

December 11, 2007

Well, it's almost Christmas and Kaylee's coming  back this weekend.  Yep, she had to go back to her foster family for a bit.  I've been horribly remiss in posting more photos, but here are some more pics that we took between Thanksgiving and December 2nd.

The next three were taken by Mark during their first ride together.  I wasn't there, but apparently they were really very good together.

Later that day ... We were quite stunned and happy to see the following peaceful moment:

But ... Dory still likes to know the lay of the land

Treats all around for such a great day.

Another awesome (at least I think so) shadow shot.

Well, that's the lot of the best pics.  We'll certainly take more this weekend!!

Kaylee is doing much better.  She got a very nasty scolding early in the morning.  We were all just sitting quietly, when suddenly Kaylee's ears went right up and she dashed out of the room (yes, on three legs she's still pretty fast).  Mark, realizing that it was a cat that triggered it, jumped up and went after them.  He totally made it clear to her that this was 'her' kitty, and that we all live here together.  I missed it, but apparently she dropped her head and slinked off to her little bed.  Since then, we've praised her every time a cat passes her and she doesn't look up.  In fact, it's almost funny.  Sometimes, if the black kitty comes up to sniff her, she'll literally look away.

These next photos were mostly taken on Thanksgiving Day.

Dory wonders where that dog went ...

As of November 20th, Kaylee (her new name) is here to visit.  Here's the very first photo of her with her possible new brother, Merlin:

The stupid camera makes a beep just before it takes the photo ... Loving the eyes!!  That's husband, Mark with Kaylee.  More pics later!!!  Keeping fingers crossed, as she seems more interested in our cats than we'd hoped.  It's not even been 12 hours yet ... patience, patience.

This is Kay V Swiftlight.  If all goes well, she will come to live with us sometime around Christmas.  As a 'test' she's going to come and spend Thanksgiving with us.  Right now she has about four or five pins in her leg; a few of which will be removed before her visit.

My husband fell in love with her as I hoped he would ... so ... we'll see!!
